Quality of Wood & Finish
The naturally finished urns are turned from high quality woods like exotic Honduras Rosewood, Wenge, Chakte Viga and Purpleheart, and the lighter woods from domestic favorites, Curly Maple and Ash.
No stains, dyes, tints or glazes are used in our natural wood keepsake urns. Imperfections in the wood grain and variations in the color of the wood are normal. All natural wood urns are finished with 3 coats of sanded epoxy and then polished to a high luster.
How to Fill Urn
The urn base opening contains a brass screw and hub. You can easily unscrew and open the urn to add a small amount of ash (approx. 1 tsp) to it. Reseal for a tight, secure fit. Virgil Tree Art does not fill urns, but you may ask your funeral home to assist with this.
Engraving
You may engrave the urn. However, Virgil Tree Art does not offer this service.
